Today’s Inspiration: Don’t miss God’s plans for you. We can get too busy with the blessings and forgotten the blesser. “Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 8:34-35.
Many made irrevocable mistakes in life by focusing on the “things” of the world and not the “people” whom we love. We can focus on the ministry and forget the minister. In verse 36, God said those who fail to find me harm themselves. Therefore let’s be gatekeepers of God’s plans, schedule and purposes, and not ours.
Be prayerful for pride can come easily to self justify, reason and give excuses not to have time with God. Pride is Idolatry. In the healing ministry, we discovered many only seek God when they have financial problems, relationship brokenness, and stricken by illnesses. Like the Israelites who were blessed and healed in the wilderness but turned back quickly to their idols and golden calf. Why? They don’t realised there is a cost to grace, where our Messiah Jesus was stricken, bled and died for our sins at the Cross of Calvary. We can be believers but not followers of Jesus Christ. Would you deny yourself, carry the Cross and follow Christ daily?
Prayer: O Lord My God, forgive me of my pride and self justifications. Break all my busyness and bondages with “things” of the World. Use me to be a blessing to my family and the people around me. Above all, keep me close to your doors as your follower that seek and hears your voice daily, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
