12 July 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.” Proverbs‬ ‭28:13-14‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Sin hardens our hearts and hides our pain in pride and anguish. But repentance and humility removes the old and harden self, for a new heart of love, forgiveness and compassion. Ezekiel 36:26.

Sin always conceals like the Adamic nature but love reveals in Christ’s nature through forgiveness, mercy and grace. Confession do not bring condemnation but redemption, reconciliation and restoration to God, through Christ Jesus. We are weary and tired is because we strife with the things of the world and people, taking things into our own hands rather than taking time in prayer, devotion and trust in God. Matthew 16:26. Without a strong prayer life, we will not be victorious over the world, devil and the flesh. Don’t be caught up by your emotions and reactions but silence your heart and mind before the Altar. There you shall find strength, peace and the love of God. He will reveal the deep things within you and His divine inward truth will set you free. 1 Corinthians 2:10.

Prayer: O Lord my God, hear my prayers, petitions and thanksgiving unto you. Let my heart not be anxious and quick to anger but be quick to listen and slow to speak. Heal my hardened heart of the past and give me a new heart and your Holy Spirit to bear fruitful relationship and favour with God and man. With God, nothing is impossible, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
