Today’s Inspiration: “For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.” Isaiah 64:4 NKJV. Our God works in ways we cannot see and we don’t need to understand all things to trust Him. Many struggled with trust in our lives is because we faced rejection or neglect as young as an infant in our growing years. Psalms 131:2. One can become perfectionistic, legalistic and self-centric without trust, having such hurts manifesting and reacting at adult age. Lack of trust brings insecurity and difficulty in building strong relationships.
How to restore trust? First thing first, all trust must be tested just like faith. Ironically it is not the good times that we build trust in God but in the bad times. When everyone is treating you well, there isn’t a need for trust. But what if someone close or you loved, hurt you with words or actions or even betrayed you? Trust is not established in a day nor is it easily be earned like respect. Trust is a decision, sacrifice and a commitment. It doesn’t begin with others but between you and God. It is an unbreakable relationship between Christ and His Heavenly Father. Even at the Cross, Christ trusted God for His greater works. John 14:12. Trust is not about how much you understanding but how much you love with your heart. That’s the beginning and building place for trust, God’s dwelling place. Proverbs 3:5. Trust is believing in God wholeheartedly that He always make a way and make all things work together wonderfully. Romans 8:28. Praise Him!
Prayer: O Lord my God, in all situations and circumstances I choose to trust you. Today I cast all my past hurts, rejections and neglect to the Cross. I release all my heavy burdens, stress and cares to you. You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts. I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God in Jesus' Name I trust, Amen.
