“I will exalt you, Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.” Psalm 30:1-3
There were countless times of incidents and infirmities I recalled in my life when I almost fell off from a cliff of Bukit Timah and was saved by a tree, almost drowned at adult pool, a virus that covered my body for months with rashes, suffering from Bronchitis in childhood, scalded by boiling hot chocolate on my face, trapped at a gate of rushing crowd, couldn’t walk well for six months due to unknown ankle problem, and yet God delivered and healed them all. Like David, we can find our solace and restoration in God’s tabernacle of Worship. Worship brings healing for our soul to prosper. 3 John 2.
Financially I lost my job as a sole bread winner when my first born came out and yet called to build God’s church. Yet I chose to Worship God and obeyed Him in all circumstances I found my peace, refuge and healer. We couldn’t know what comes tomorrow but God spoke in His Word that He will restore double for our troubles and He did. Isaiah 61:7. Praise God!
