We have to build our lives on the Word of God and not on the things of the world.
Jesus taught, "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25
Our first love is the gospel letters of Christ to us. When we walk according to the word of God, we build on a foundation which no man or devil can remove. And when tests, trials or tribulations come, we will not be easily shaken.
