Small is Big in God’s Eyes

“A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” Isaiah‬ ‭60‬:‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When we look at Israel which is the smallest country in the whole of the Middle East, Singapore is also the smallest in Southeast Asia, both fully surrounded by Muslim nations. One is a desert place and the other a small fishing village without natural resources, yet God created a miracle and an Oasis.


The world always wants to look at big things, but the kingdom of God is always looking at our small and humble beginnings so that we glorify God for all that He has done for us. "For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.” Zechariah ‭4‬:‭10‬. ‭God always uses the smallest or even the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. 1 Corinthians 1:27.


Before a strong Christian leader can emerge in us, we have to learn how to serve and joyfully do even small things in the ministry. We are not coming to church to compete but rather to be completed by Christ through the molding and sanctification of the Holy Spirit into the image of Christ. So never despise humble beginnings or judging any book by its cover. 1 Samuel 16:7.
