“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV)
Prayer is not just personal but it carries a spiritual inheritance of God’s kingdom for our descendants. God is not just a personal savior but a generational God, who watches over our nations, our inner life and our children and theirs to come.
As Christian parents, we have to build not just a strong personal prayer altar but also establish a family altar. I was surprise when I was praying healing for Christian fathers and discovered many family goes to church but no longer pray at home, even their personal altar are broken and forsaken just like in Mount Carmel. Jesus taught, "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20. Praise God!
Remember this, nothing in the heaven and the earth happens without prayer and our Lord Jesus Christ is our chief shepherd and commander, making intercession for us at the right hand of God. Romans 8:34. Know this that God has His will, plans and purposes for our family and descendants. The family altar draw us not only closer to God but also to one another.
