Godliness Profits All Things

“For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.” 1 Timothy 4:8-9

What is Godliness? I believe it has to do with having God in all the things that we do even the thoughts, feelings and emotions within us. You can train the body for muscles but not have self-control over your negative thoughts and emotions like fears, insecurities, anger, jealousy and pride. It has to do with God having more of us than ourselves. John 3:30. Look not just to the benefit of self, but the welfare of others around us. Philippians 2:4. When you follow God’s Word, there comes His blessings and faithful promises.

How are you treating your parents, spouse, children, colleagues, classmates, boss or even pastor? Do they see Christ in you? Will you do something special for them? We all can make a change but bearing new fruit of the Holy Spirit. Make a difference this season. Praise God!

To God be the glory!

Love Always,
