God’s Law is His Love for us

“But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭1:8-11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Nobody like to be discipled, rebuked or corrected. And truly if you ask anybody about the law, mostly are negative about it. Some hate the red light cameras, the parking fine, the visitors restrictions or penalty for not wearing mask. Our flesh simply doesn’t like the law, just like our diet doesn’t like vegetables. On the contrary, without strong integrity, law and order, Singapore will not gain respect globally of a secured Country which attracts investment, protects intellectual properties and draws foreign talents. Praise God!

When the Israelites broke God’s commandments, they also broke their spiritual hedges, protection and the covenant with God. God gave the law to Moses is to reveal His love for His children. Likewise when our parent discipline us, it’s for our greater good.

To God be the glory!

Love Always,
