See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” Isaiah 60:2-3 NIV
As the world gets darker in wars, sexual immorality, violence and evil, the kingdom of God gets brighter in evangelism, discipleship and missions.
Jesus is the light of life. His glory brings healing, deliverance and restoration to all souls. "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12. Sin brings darkness and death, but Salvation brings light and life. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:4-5.
God’s glorious light is shining into 2023, which also the year 5783, the time of recompense and restoration from all harm and losses suffered. Draw close to Him and He shall draw close to you. James 4:8. Let Christ shine within our Spirit man.
