For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. 1 Peter 2:6-8
Our hope is found in nothing less, but Jesus Christ our righteousness. Many are trapped in past shame. Why do we have Low self esteem? It is the struggle with shame, abuses and rejections in our growing up years. Especially without protection from Dads. Shame is the hardest to uproot and God, our Heavenly Father is intensely intentional to heal and pluck this out of our lives through His Son Jesus Christ. All shame, pain and suffering were taken by Jesus at the Cross. He who is Holy and have no sin, took our place in that abuse, shame and pain with 39 stripes and the nails of condemnation at Calvary Hill. God’s love was sacrificed, His only begotten precious Son who gave us eternal life was crucified.
Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22. Remember God always have a double honour for our shame in life and we are His testimonies in Christ. If you are willing to give your life to Jesus today, He is able and willing to bless you with the double honour.
