“Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.” Deuteronomy 8:4-5 NKJV
We all know God loves who He disciplines but when you ask who wants to be like Job, Jonah, or Moses? We don’t see many hands because that’s the carnal nature and response. It is natural. But God is not natural, He is Supernatural. How can garments don’t worn out and foot don’t swell in the desert? Discipline comes from Discipleship and the Word of God teaches us to learn from our mistakes of the past to make a change. Only a mature Christian can truly appreciate Discipline because it needs humility, obedience, and teachability with an open heart. Do you have an open heart today for God? Remember God’s sole intention is not to bring judgement but Jesus into your life.
Disciplines brings forth divine transformation, healing and sanctification within us. It makes us more like Christ because we can’t share Christ if we can demonstrate Christ, for actions speaks louder than words. Praise God!
