Accountable to God

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:25-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In early days of my marriage, I only knew that man is the head of the house but I didn’t read the scriptures in detail to know that I am the caretaker of my spouse! It’s a daily reminder that I need to hold myself accountable to God’s Word and His family principles of a Godly household. I have to deal with my personal anger, pride, and ego that it is not what I can provide for the family but how to love like Christ that matters, especially to my wife. A happy wife is a happy life, which is true and biblical.

One day the Lord spoke to my heart, “I will look at the state of your marriage just as I look at the state of your wife I gave you.” I was convicted and knew my accountability, stewardship and role as Godly husband.

To God be the glory!

With Love Always,
