9 May 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.“ James‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬. How do we respond to a world filled with negative news daily online and the stress we face at work, home or in ministry? We can easily become victimised or influenced by our environment or people around us with words of the flesh. Only the Word and the Spirit of God is able to keep us sanctified, secured, and safe from all fiery darts.

Are we aware of the words that are coming out of our mouth daily? How do we communicate with people around us? Are they words of the flesh or of the Spirit? Are they for blessings, complains or curses? Angry words come from rejection, insecurity and fear in the Spirit. Ephesians 4:27. Self perception can be toxic because of our wounds in life. When we encounter the love of God through Christ, He removes these roots out of the soil of our soul which were embedded in our hearts in the past so that new seeds of God’s love, peace and joy can be planted to grow into spiritual maturity. Matthew 15:13 Will you be open to the Lord to heal your reactions? Open the door of your heart to Christ. Peace be with you.

Prayer: O Lord my God, with you all things are possible through Christ who makes divine changes within me. I confess, repent, refute, and break all words that were not pleasing to you at the Cross. Cleanse and sanctify the lips of my mouth and direct my tongue with your divine word, wisdom, and worship in Jesus' Name, Amen.
