Today‘s Inspiration: ”The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.“ James 3:6. What goes around comes around because the home we grow up in, the friends we associate with and the words we pick up in our lives shapes our attitudes, behaviour and character. 1 Corinthians 15:33. Curses come from words that hurts, abuses and emotionally oppresses which can affect one with a lifetime of low self esteem, pain and torment.
In proverbs it says,”Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared. Proverbs 22:24-25. Most of the hurts in our life comes from the neglect, rejections, anger, resentment and rage. It’s also a parental dysfunction which needs to be addressed in emotional healing. The Spirit of anger needs to be delivered. I once came across a sweet lady who is always friendly and gracious but in a healing service when the anointing was so strong, her eyes began to stare like a wild animal rolling on the ground and the sweet voice changed violently. She was eventually delivered and during the healing we discovered so many deep wounds of sexual abuses, abandonment, anguish and rejections in her life. Praise God for His divine grace as we dealt with the truth and the truth set her free.
Prayer: O Lord my God, we break all generational curses inflicted by the spirit of anger in Jesus Name. Let every idolatry of Gods with war, violence and anger be broken down into pieces and burnt by the power and fire of the Holy Spirit. For God has not give us a spirit of fear or rejection but a Spirit of love, power and a sound mind. Cleanse and consecrate my heart and restrain my tongue by the Holy Spirit with self control. Let all my words be salted with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
