Today’s Inspiration: “Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” Psalms 40:5 NIV. Spiritual growth and maturity comes from the Word of God, as the created becomes aware of the Creator for the creation. It is in His light we see light and know He is the fountain of life. Psalm 36:9. The Word of God is a lamp to our feet and light to our path. Psalm 119:105. It is also through His light our blindness of sins is removed and repentance draws us back to His grace, mercy, and love.
Repentance restores a heart of thanksgiving unto God, for it bears the fruit of the Spirit. If the fruit is higher than the law then sin has no longer any foothold on us, for God is greater than our hearts. 1 John 3:20. Praise and thanksgivings unto God has powerful anointing to pull down strongholds and break bondages of cyclical oppressions. Psalm 100:4 Repentance has the power to restore families and homes that were once broken and dysfunctional. It brought the abused son his family in pharaoh’s court as a governor, the exiled son from the wilderness to his Hebrew family as a deliverer, and the prodigal son back to his father as a heir. Praise be to God!
Prayer: O lord my God, let my first prayer at the altar be of repentance and thanksgiving in my heart that I may enter through your gates with praise and your courts with thanksgiving in my heart. It is by grace that I am saved through faith and let your love increases within me to witness all the goodness and loving kindness that you have shown to me in the Spirit. May I be your salt and light to the dying and dark world that more families can be saved and restore, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
