Today’s Inspiration: “To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue. All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:1-3 NIV. Prayer is not asking God for just what you need because he has already know your need before you come to him. Matthew 6:8 Prayer is asking for God’s will in your ways and His way in your plans.
Problems in life arises when we want things our way and say things our way. This was cautioned by Apostle James, preaching,” What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” James 4:1-3 NIV. Divine prayers helps us in being God focused and not self. We may think we are doing right but if it’s not God’s will for you, it will not be fruitful. So seek God first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all that you need will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, search my heart and know my anxious thoughts. Test me that if there is anything that is not your will, lead to from it and guide me towards your everlasting plans and purpose. Reveal to me your glory and let my heart be glad and free to know that you are with me in your presence, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
