Today’s Inspiration: “Indeed He says, ‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.” Isaiah 49:6 NKJV. The gospel is not about what we could gain from the promises of God but what we could give through the promises of God. The most fulfilling purpose in life is giving. Giving is not just about money but about meaning in a Christian life.
Jesus said,” it is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:38. Life is not just about eating and drinking, or even good health, provisions and relationships. A Christian life is living a purpose in Christ. If there is no Christ, there is no real Christianity. Our relationship with Christ is intimately connected to our giving life. Jesus taught,” Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” John 12:25. It speaks about our selfish carnal nature in comparison to a selfless spiritual nature of Christ. Jesus came to this world for the salvation of our souls and not for His own mandate but His father’s for Calvary. Giving produces value and relational creation in our lives, bearing divine fruitfulness and fulfilment. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, your Holy Spirit is a life giving Spirit of grace within me. Let I not look just into the interest of mine but also the interest of others. Lead me to be a harvester in not just reaping by faith but more importantly sowing by faith to trust God more, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
