8 August 2020 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: He who gets wisdom loves his own soul, he who cherishes understanding prospers. Proverbs 19:8. Wisdom has eternal value and judges righteously. Understanding self and what lies beneath the surface in ourselves and others matters more than the righteousness you see in the external.

As you come to understand what emotion drives you, you are more likely to arrest what hinders you and advance forward what profits you.

Waiting in silence truly is rewarding. David in his time of trial waited patiently, trusting the Lord for directions to confound the enemy of his soul. Inward silence teaches you when to speak and when to wait till your spirit is awakened to your consciousness into re-orientating your goals and to re-evaluate them from time to time to suit the secular community as well. Psalm 40:1. We should not say words more than what is required or they will not be impactful. Ecclesiastes 3:7 teaches us there is a time to speak and a time to keep silence. Let your words be few but profound.

The quiet words of wisdom is better than weapons of warfare. Ecclesiastes 10:8. We can never understand the works of God. God is watching daily for His movement to be fulfilled. Jeremiah 1:12. His words will never return to Him void without fulfillment. So banish anxiety from your hearts and be joyful. God be praised.

Prayer: O Lord God, You know all things. Help me to strategize correctly that whatever I do will glorify in Your name. Amen
