6 January 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.“ Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ At times of tests, trials and tribulations we may not know what to pray or we have prayed of what we know. But the Holy Spirit is not limited to our prayers, rather it is the Holy Spirit that reveals the will of God in prayer for us. The challenge is most of the time we pray for what we need more than what God desires for us. Jesus taught His disciples not to pray like the world, but according to the will of God.

Spiritual prayers and carnal ones are a world of difference. Carnal prayers are led by the flesh or self, but spiritual prayers are led by the Holy Spirit. Apostle taught, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭Spiritual prayer breaks fears, anxieties and stress. It draws us closer to God like a child to the Father, knowing that the Father is able to provide, protect, and even prosper our spirit, soul and body. “And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“ Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord our God, your Holy Spirit sees both the spiritual and physical realms. Lead us to pray along your Spirit and let our will be yielded to your will, to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us your daily divine guidance, godly counsel and wisdom commands in the Spirit to pray, prioritise, and purpose according to your Word, in Jesus Name, Amen.
