Today's Inspiration: A man who pursue righteousness far excels that of a man who pursue riches. The Bible says a man who hastens after riches is a man with an evil eye. Proverbs 28:22. You are what you think and do. Your past is part of you. When you reflect on your past, you are filled with remorse and guilt which are all heart sins that stick to your flesh. Your flesh is enmity with God.
David committed many sins against his family yet God called him a man after His heart. How is this possible? Human nature is such that temporal pleasures and ego are uncontrollable. If we can vanquish our foes without His help, we do not need God.
God does not see as man sees. 1 Samuel 16:7. We are measured by not what we do but by our being what God intended of us. Are we growing in His likeness? Whilst man chooses a man by his perfection, God selects a man by his heart. David did not dwell on His problems but keep praising and seeking God for the triumphs He had prepared for Him. 2 Samuel 22:7. He was always confident that the Lord will keep him from all harm. Proverbs 3:26. This confidence brought fame to him.
How are you positioning yourself? Are you positioning yourself on the basis of your attributes or are you positioning yourself according to attributes of God? This should be our reflection this morning. God is always transforming ordinary man to extraordinary ones that will expand His Kingdom not by his own might not by power or strength but by the directions of His spirit. Let's connect our spirit this morning from who we are and be astounded by things you never knew you could achieve. It's all by His Divine attributes that we can triumph in our exploits to extend His Kingdom. God be praised.
