Today’s Inspiration: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NIV. Our Christian faith is not found just in miracles, blessings and breakthroughs but on the foundation established by the Blood of the Lamb, the Cross of Calvary and the Resurrection of the Holy Spirit in Christ. 1 John 5:7. One can experience the blessings of God and even the healing of God but not change in attitude, behaviour and character. Why? There is no sanctification and consecration by the Word of God. Many attend church regularly but how many have a personal relationship with God. Like the world, all desire success but few understand sufferings, all love the grace of God but few understand His wrath, for the harvest is plentiful but workers are few. Matthew 9:37.
What the church lacks today is discipleship, accountability and maturity, just as what the world lacks today is parenting, mentoring and nurturing. Have you ever been held accountable to the Word of God in humility, submission and obedience? Change can only only come through listening. This is when we truly have a personal relationship with Abba Father God, just as we have a personal relationship with our parents, family and love ones. How do we know when we truly hear the voice of God? It is the same time when our hearts are convicted to change and His Holy Spirit shall guide us gently to repent and not sin, to love and not hate, and to forgive and not be angry. Jesus taught,” But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?” Matthew 5:44-46. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let I not walk in the flesh but in the Spirit supernaturally with the love of God. Renew my mind and consecrate my heart to follow you and your divine Word. They are the lamp to my feet and light to my path. Your sheep hears your voice, and you know me and I follow you. My heart is ever open and my spirit is willing to you Lord, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
