4 April 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Wisdom is always better than strength, just as God’s ways is higher than ours. To sharpen the ax, it has to be subjected to the stone to grind the edges to be sharpened. Many desire to be used by God but few are willing to be humbled to be lead by the Holy Spirit. Solomon didn’t desire riches but wisdom of God in humility and that pleases the Lord to bless him and Nation of Israel to flourish. 1 Kings 3:9. We can easily get burnt out, frustrated and angry when we depend on ourselves and not God.

Beware that covetousness, complacency and conceitedness can harden one’s heart towards God like the golden calf. Wisdom comes upon one who is humble, obedience and teachable. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer. Proverbs‬ ‭9‬:‭10‬-‭12.‬ ‭Prayer for God’s wisdom is the key to success for marketplace, family, and ministry. Wisdom comes from discernment of the heart and it is the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is not intelligence or knowledge but through the Spirit of God. Zechariah 4:6. When we put God first in all aspect of our lives with prayer, petition, and thanksgiving in our hearts, His wisdom, blessings and favour shall flow. Matthew 6:33.

Prayer: O Lord my God, sharpen me with your wisdom and discernment to handle all matters in the office, home, and ministry. Your plans, purpose and will are my spiritual food and manna. Let your kingdom come, and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, which is glorious. Increase my faith to trust you with all my heart and to pursue your Word and presence in all the work you have put into my hands. I believe I am destined for wellness, success, and wisdom by the grace of God. Yes, Lord bless the work of my hands, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
