Today's Inspiration: God will reward us according to how we use our natural ability. If we use them for the Kingdom of God well, we shall receive a reward with an appreciation from the Lord 'Good and faithful servant, well done. You have been faithful over little things, I will make you ruler over many things.' Matthew 25:23. What does Jesus mean in this parable?

All our talents belong to the Lord. They are only loaned to us on this Earth. How we steward them is important. It's not only for your personal gain but for the extension of His kingdom. Our natural abilities have little value. God needs to invest His spiritual wealth on us to use them for spiritual purposes to support the work of the Kingdom. Talents are therefore not a thing we own or of strengths we have but of the grace of God provided for the benefit of the Kingdom of God.

We may have natural abilities but not spiritual gifts to add value for assessment of our reward in heaven. We cannot receive or use them more than our understanding. If we use our gifts for the kingdom of God He adds value to them by giving spiritual gifts to them like spiritual understanding, preaching, teaching, discernment, knowledge and wisdom. Romans 11:29, 12:6-8.

Our gifts and calling are irrevocable hence we must use them to gain spiritual wealth for God's purposes and support of His kingdom work. Hence apostle Paul says God tests us as to how we use our talents, natural abilities and gifts. We are all given each measure of faith to use them for His glory and His purpose. We therefore should not think of ourselves more highly than what we think soberly as God deals with us according to the measure of our faith. Rom 12:3. Each of us shall give account of ourselves to God. Romans 14:12. Our works will be tested by fire.

God placed us in our fellowship to complement each other's gifts as each of us is given different gifts according to the measure of His grace. So let us use them according to the grace given to us. Let us have interpersonal skills to use them as a team. Our works will be revealed by fire and the fire will test each one's work of what sort it is. If anyone's work endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will lose his reward but he himself will be saved yet so through fire. 1 Corinthians 3:13. The other reward you will receive will be the genuineness of your faith which is also tested by fire. This is much more precious than gold and silver. Though you do not see Him you believe and rejoice with inexpressible joy and full of glory receiving the end of your faith the salvation of your soul. 1 Peter 1:7-9. You will be tested on your character. How much of the spiritual fruits you have?

It's time we wake up from our sleep and examine ourselves before the Lord whilst there is time. Will we be the Bride of Christ we strive to be? God be praised.

Prayer: Lord may I work out my salvation with fear and trembling! May our life on this Earth glorifies your name and be tested to be Your good and faithful servant. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
