Today’s Inspiration: “Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.” I Timothy 4:13-14 NKJV. Many read the word of God but few truly meditate on them. Work, business, family and even ministry can be too busy for God’s Word. Apostle Paul reminded young Timothy that it is not the workings on the outside God is looking at but what is in the inside. Giving ourselves to God also relates to giving ourselves to His Word.
For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. I Timothy 4:8-9. Many received prayers and prophecies but few meditate on scriptures, invoking their details in prayer, wrestling with the promises of God like Jacob. How do we use our gifts, talents, and resources for the glory of God? In this season, do not be distracted but be focus on God’s calling and gift in your life. If they are not clear, seek God. Holy Spirit will bring it to remembrance. John 14:26. Focus on God’s Word is the key to good relationships, health, success and breakthroughs. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me return to you, my first love, your calling and gift in my life. Profit me not just in health but in godliness. Let me meditate in your word day and night, to be a tree planted by your river of life. Sanctify my thoughts, my emotions, and my words that they shall glorify your Holy Name. I believe all your marvellous and prophetic utterances shall come to past, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
