Today’s Inspiration: The baptism of water is by John and the baptism of spirit is by Jesus. “For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;” Isaiah 44:3. John told his disciples, which also includes Andrew, the brother of Peter, saying, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11.
A spirit-filled life is of highest importance to live a victorious life in Christ. Fire is like passion for compassion, for without it there is no life or light or even visions. Genesis 1:3.
Fire can disinfect wounds, fuse metals, and refine precious stones like gold. Psalm 12:6 The fire of the Holy Spirit brings revival and healing to the souls for salvation and empowerment for ministry. When the Pentecost came upon the 120 disciples, they were all filled with tongues of fire and a supernatural revival began to take place with miracles, signs and wonders bringing all nations together as one in Koinonia, the fellowship of the Spirit. None was in lack, oppressed or unwell in the revival. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord My God, light up my 2022 with thy Holy Spirit and Fire. Give a heart of passion for the compassion of Christ. Let I be lesser and you be greater. May the fire on the altar of my life burn unceasingly bright, in Jesus 'Name, Amen.
