3 November 2020 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him. For men are not cast off by the Lord forever. For He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men. Proverbs 3:25, 31,33. Therefore seek Him continually and examine your ways and test them day by day. Do not fear but be strong and courageous to face challenges each day for it is good for our soul.

The dark days seems to be over and the sun maybe shining brightly in your path. Nothing can go wrong. Yet we cannot be complacent as the devil prowls like a roaring looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8. One false mistake may cause destruction. Our yielded lives can be utterly crushed and be swept away through a stupid senseless act or decision. We may have four generations receiving blessing after blessing and then at the fifth generation there is a down turn because we have failed to nurture our new generation to maturity.

Hence it is important to take on His wisdom and mature. If we fail to live life consistently to be a vessel of honor for, in a moment our confidence can vanish and our courage evaporated. We need to uproot and stamp out the problems that are imminent to avoid disaster in our lives.

Unless our whole heart is anchored in Christ alone, the power of the risen Christ cannot be experienced in our life. We need to be complete in our personality where our emotions, mind and will that are contained in the soul are filled well with Christ daily. Paul's letter to the Philippians in Philippians 3:7-15 is a letter written by the most matured Christian that ever lived, a man who demonstrated constantly a unique ability to handle every situation whether in suffering or satisfaction. We need to dedicate ourselves to the Lord saying To live is Christ to die is gain. Philippians 1:21. Forgetting things that are behind and pressing towards the goal is key to our life and knowledge of Him and the power of His Resurrection and fellowship of His sufferings shall take priority in our lives. Be saved to live a life of maturity for disaster awaits one who fails to mature.

We should live by faith not by sight. Faith erased fear in our lives so that it can lead us to our success in whatever we do. God be praised.

Prayer: O Lord thank You for in You we have redemption. Guide me to the path I should go, for every living soul belongs to You - the Father as well as the children. Let me follow Your decrees and faithfully keep Your laws so that all will be well with me and my descendants hereafter. Amen.
