Today's Inspiration: The work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. Isaiah 32:17. Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times. Let the fear of the Lord be your treasure. Isaiah 33:6.

Worry is the product of inadequate understanding of the One who knows, cares and acts for us. The way we look at God determines the way we look at life and this will determine what we worry about.

Our greatest concern should be to seek His kingdom first and His righteousness that whatever we need will be added to us. Matthew 6:33. We are not to accumulate treasures on Earth as they cannot be brought along with us to eternity. God provides sufficiently for us to steward them. We should accumulate our treasures in heaven that will not fade away.

Jesus taught that we are to watch out and be on guard against all kinds of greed, a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. Luke 12:15. God is the source of our life. He will see we have no lack to meet earthly needs. Ecclesiastes 3:13, 1 Timothy 6:17. This according to Solomon is a gift of God. He gives us surplus to invest in Him to accumulate treasures in heaven. He controls life and gives life.

Wealth does not make you master both of the present and the future. As King Solomon says no matter how much wealth you have, you must leave your wealth to someone and who knows how he will steward that resource. Ecclesiastes 2:18-19. Instead accumulate treasures in heaven. Where your heart is there your treasure is. Unfortunately, the one who has desire for money and crave for them, when the bubble bursts, he keeps going round the mountain to replenish them.

Jesus gives warning against greed more than any other sin. God has handed to Moses the ten commandments of which the first and the last commandment are of utmost importance. First is to worship God and Him only and the last commandment is not to worship greed as it is idolatrous. This should be our primary concern. Where is your heart today? God desires a full heart relationship with you. God be praised. So avoid land mine of greed that lusts for more so that you will not be elevated to unnecessary fear and anxiety.
