Today’s Inspiration: “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:25-26.
All of us need sanctification in our souls to be a new creation in Christ. Just as our bodies need washing, a car needs maintenance, or a lamp wick that needs trimming.
Nothing can sanctify our souls internally and eternally except the Word of God, His Holy Word for consecration. Jesus spoke,” I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already (clean because of the word) I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” John 15:1-4 Faith comes from hearing, hearing the Word of God for cleansing and putting forth a new garment of praise. It renews our mind and restores our soul to remain in Christ.
Prayer: O Lord My God, sanctify me with thy Word in spirit, soul, and body. Put all my ways unto your righteousness that I may abide in your Word and Commandments to bear good fruit, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
