3 August 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Acts‬ ‭20‬:‭32‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Sanctification is the purpose of the great commission with the great commandment. The goal of the church is not making more members or having a bigger building but rather making disciples of Jesus Christ, who sanctifies us to become Christlike.

Sanctification brings healing to our spirit, soul, and body through the blood of Jesus, the power of his word and the work of the Holy Spirit. Christ love is the manifestation of sanctification. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭18.‬ ‭Love is action of compassion, which is the passion of Christ. Love brings true fulfilment, joy and peace to our lives. It never fails.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let there be love shared among us and let there be your love in our eyes. May the love of your Holy Spirit compels us to lay down our lives for one another, causing us to arise. Let thy yoke of love give me strength, courage and hope for peace. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, in Jesus 'ame, Amen.
