29 October 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.” Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬-‭22‬ ‭NIV.‬ Many relate to God as someone who blesses them, answers their prayers and heals them but their soul can still dry, empty and restless. This is because few relate to God as a father. He desires mercy, not sacrifice. Galatians 4:6. To build a strong relationship with God requires humility, obedience and teachability. There is always joy, peace and blessing in learning submission to God and One another relationally. The enemy would always try to disrupt, deceive and divide but Godly principles always bring unity to home, workplace and ministry.

The family book of Ephesians teaches how to build a strong relationship with God, in marriage and parenting. Walking with God is learning submission to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬-‭25.‬ ‭We need forgiveness, grace and love from the Cross, the Blood and spirit of Christ to build strong families. When we please God, there is always peace in our hearts.

Prayer: O Lord my God, if there are any offences, I choose to forgive at home, workplace and ministry. I will choose to submit because I choose to please you to have peace. Lead me with your Holy Spirit and bring unity on all the work of my hands and relationships. Above all, I choose to obey. Let my ears always pay attention to what you say, in Jesus Name, Amen!
