Today's Inspiration: Life is full of surprises. Little did the Israelites in Egypt dreamt that they would be delivered from slavery after being in bondage for 430 years. A man's steps are ordered by the Lord. Who can understand His ways? Proverbs 20:24.

Rage does not pay. When Mordecai refused to bow to Haman's ego, Haman's rage turned into resentment which eventually turned to hatred causing him to determine to exterminate Mordecai. Life is full of surprises. Haman never knew that he was digging his own grave. What a surprise it must have been for Haman to learn that Esther is a Jew and highly respected as well as loved by the King. Man's efforts are futile. Psalm 94:11.

It's not man's efforts that will save you but the power of prayer which overturns every plot conjured by evil man. Be wise like Mordecai and Esther whose intention is to save the Jews and not for self glory. Esther realised her appointment as queen was for salvation of the Jews and Mordecai the watchman for His kingdom that salvation be preserved. Their mountain-moving faith to speak God's promises to their life and persistent trust in the Lord paved the way for redemption. There is repercussion for those who decided evil schemes. The gallows Haman erected for Mordecai became the gallows to exterminate him. What a tragedy!

So always be wise and smart like Mordecai and Esther whose good intentions won a reward. Don't be dumb like Haman who unknowingly brought about his own downfall. God put us in exalted places to do good to others and not for ego sake. Always know that God's ways are better than our ways. Isaiah 55:9. God be praised.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You listen to our humble prayer. Guide us and protect us for Your name sake and lead us to righteousness always. Our own efforts are futile without your help. So stretch out Your hands that we might have a way out of our present wilderness. For You are not angry forever but merciful and gracious at all times. Let wisdom be upon our heart to discern the way to go. In Jesus name Amen.
