29 March 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭6.‬ ‭Our Lord’s beatitude is a constant reminder of our spiritual life, growth and desire of God daily. I discovered one divine truth in our lives is that when we have less time in prayer, reading God’s word, and communion with him daily, we are fighting more problems without the peace of God. The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life comes when we hunger for the world and busyness more than God himself. 1 John 2:16.

King David sang,”As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm 42:1-2 Our first love is the spiritual hunger and thirst for God when all we want is Jesus, and all we need is His presence, and all we desire is to hear His still small voice. Do we seat at His feet like Mary or do we get so busy like Martha? When we come back to reading the Bible daily, delight in giving our time for God, and praying in His presence, the problems of the world grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. Healing and breakthroughs start taking place, for my mouth is filled with all of His praise. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, turn my eyes and my heart towards you. Draw me close as I draw close to you daily. Stir up in me a new, deep and fresh hunger and thirst for your righteousness. Quicken my spirit with your Word daily and fill me with your Holy Spirit once again. My delight is to worship you and put you first in all matters of my life. Sanctify and cleanse me that I will be a useful vessel for the Master, in Jesus Name, Amen.
