28 February 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Our faith and hope comes from the Lord and this is a season of building up faith. God has created us in the Spirit before we became flesh and true worshippers worship Him in Spirit and Truth. John 4:24. Our mind is our soul who is easily troubled by bad news with fear, doubts and stress. If Paul the apostle of Christ prays in the Spirit at all times to overcome evil, bring healing to sick and salvation to the lost, how much more we will need the Holy Spirit in the end of times. Faith is the substance of things hope for and evidence of things unseen. Hebrews 11:1.

To build our faith we have to build our spirit man. The flesh has to die before the spirit can be awakened. The flesh which is the carnal mind has to be crucified before the spirit can resurrect. By praying in the Holy Spirit helps us to trust God beyond our knowledge, understanding, and reasoning. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. I Corinthians‬ ‭14‬:‭14.‬ Therefore in times of extreme stress, anxiety, or troubles, we have to immense ourselves in prayer in the Holy Spirit. That’s the realm in which we increase our faith and dependency in the Lord, the realm of the Holy Spirit. Zechariah 4:6. Mental and emotional sickness are due to oppression of the soul, which we call our mind and emotions. It’s easily ensnared by issues of life. Therefore when we pray in the Spirit, it breaks the yoke of negative thoughts and emotions, and that’s when healing, breakthroughs, deliverance, and faith increases. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me with your Holy Spirit and bless me with your new tongues of fire to strengthen my faith. Open up my eyes that I can see thy visions and open up the heavens that I can witness thy supernatural providence. I shall trust you with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding for believing is seeing great salvation and awesome power of the Holy Spirit whom you have generously given to us. For in thy presence and Holy Spirit, there is liberty, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
