27 September 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.” Romans‬ ‭11:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬. In the beginning is the Word, the Word was with God and the Word is God. John 1:1. How does revival look like? We are entering a season where most of us are seeking a fresh outpouring of Holy Spirit and anointing upon the whole body of Christ. How do you know that you are encountering a personal revival in your Spirit? Today many are searching for an experience of hype and sensation in meetings, conferences or doing projects. But is this what Pentecost looks like? Is this what the Great Commission looks like? Are we making disciples and how do we make disciples? It’s by the Word of God. There will be a revival for the Word of God which spelt so clearly in Acts 2.

Jesus taught,” Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Matthew‬ ‭7:15-20.‬ ‭By the fruit, is referring to by the Spirit, which is our attitude, behaviour and character. They are more important to God than ministry. In the revival, we shall see more people transformed into the likeness of Christ who is gentle, meek and compassionate for the sick, the lost and needy unsaved souls. The Church has to return to its foundation of the Word. Today, how many families actually teach the Word of God or read the Bible? We need the Holy Spirit to move in our homes and families. Acts 16:31. Let there be a new hunger and thirst for His righteousness, which is God’s Word and commandments. We have to rebuild the broken or forsaken foundation. Isaiah 58:12.

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me daily back to your Word. Let my personal altar be filled with your fresh fire and my lamp stand to be lit for your Word to be the way, the truth and the life. Enlighten my heart and restore my soul with your revelation and fill me with your Spirit to stir up a new hunger for your presence, word and wisdom, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
