Today's Inspiration: John 5:30 I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me. Jesus' desire is to do His Father's will. Throughout His life Jesus remained deeply aware that the outcome of His ministry was connected to God's Sovereign will. Many people tend to work to please men but Jesus did His task to please God alone. Jesus values His abiding relationship with His Father and remain focused on the task given to Him.

He handled disappointment of His work and ministry differently from others. He found strength and purpose in His Father's plans.

Apostle Paul also is not ashamed or perturbed at the outcome of his ministry. He was able to encourage the Corinthians church to stand firm and let nothing distract them but give themselves fully to the work of the Lord knowing full well that their labor in the Lord will not be in vain. 1 Corinthians15:58.

Are you confident about who Jesus was? Are you being bogged down with disappointment in ministry that you are about to give up? If so may today's message spur you not to give up. Jesus knows that we can lose hope and question our success, wondering whether our work had been in vain. No assurance is more solid than the assurance of our Father who promises never to leave us nor forsake us. We are not alone. Our Father is working with us till this very day. Our testing is to strengthen our character and faith. Jesus reassures His disciples that they can take refuge in Him and find peace in Him. John 16:33. Do not cast away the confidence which has great reward. Hebrews 10:35.

Prayer: Lord grant me the endurance that I need to fulfill the will of God in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
