Today‘s Inspiration: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV. Can we forget our abuses, hurts, pains, and even disputes or fights? Most of the mentees who came for inner healing desire to deal with their past afflictions but few dealt with their affliction to others. We judge others but not ourselves, and we felt hurt but we don’t realised we too have hurt others too.
We can’t just clean one side of the cup and neglect the other, just like the Pharisees and Sadducees. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 Forgiveness is like a double edged sword. Not just we learn to reconcile with God, we also learn to reconcile with one another. Christlikeness always manifest the fruit of the Spirit with humility, obedience and teachability. The most powerful weapon against satan and his schemes is repentance because not only it helps us to forgive, forgo and to forge stronger relationships, our Lord takes us out from darkness into His marvellous light with a new living way. 1 Peter 2:9
Prayer: O Lord my God, I repent of not just the sins of mine which were against you but also the sins which were afflicted to others as well. May your ministry on reconciliation be in my Spirit always that I shall no longer walk in the past but to live as a new creation, holy and blameless for your cause, purpose and testimony. Move my spirit into reconciliation. Let my mouth be filled with your grace and seasoned with salt to build strong families, fruitful conversations and loving relationships in Jesus' Name, Amen.
