Today’s Inspiration: “The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.” Psalms 19:8-9 NIV. Holiness is not about being perfect but being set apart for God according to His Word. The greatest joy and freedom of a soul is Holiness, being free from sin and walking in Christ. Not that we are perfect but He is perfect and living inside of me. John 14:17.
Changes in our attitudes, behaviours, and character can only be accomplished through tests, trials, and tribulations in life. James 1:2-3. If we can overcome all things by ourselves, we don’t need Christ. It is through salvation, submission and sanctification that we can truly understand how to become a child of God. Ironically the Bible is not for the self righteous but for the sinners. Without God’s grace and mercy, we cannot change. Therefore we need the Holy Spirit to testify Christ in healing our broken hearts and binding up our wounds. Psalm 147:3. We need the Holy Spirit to break in us daily so that there is a breakthrough in our lives. Remember the temple of God is not lit on Sundays but everyday. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, I desire to encounter you daily. Let me be led by your Holy Spirit and not by my flesh. Lead me away from temptation and deliver me from evil. Let your Word be hidden in my heart that I may abide in your presence. Give me your wisdom, knowledge and understanding of your precepts and commands that my life, family and children are led by faith and not by sight, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
