Today's Inspiration: The teaching of the Lord is clear. Whenever we pray, there should be no unforgiveness in our hearts. Mark 11:25-26. Whenever there is dispute, both parties must exercise forgiveness to resolve the issue. Forgiveness is the most difficult issue in our life. The greatest hindrance is pride in oneself. The right thing to do is to humbly implore God to purge out all our own sinful attitudes towards the other member of His family. For many are too prideful to reconcile thinking that by ignoring the issue, and refusing to talk about it, the issues will disappear automatically. If the issues are not resolved there is no reconciliation and the relationship remains broken. The knot of enmity remains untied so long as we don't forgive.
We must ensure at all times to avoid the landmine of the pride of life as it is not from our Father. 1 John 2:16. Pride is a stumbling block in our life which our Lord hates. When we remain hostile to one another, it grieves the heart of God greatly and we lose our eternal security.
True believers should let go of their differences on Earth, reconcile and join forces to serve God with renewed vigor and be eternally grateful that they are not included among those whom God rebuke on Judgement day and among the wicked whose names God has blotted forever and ever. Psalm 9:5.
Apostle Paul has exhorted us to strive to keep the loving relationship within the family of Christ and be mindful of their heavenly destiny. Do not lose sight of our heavenly home and return to our original commitment to each other as member of Christ's family.
We must not lose sight of our important goal in life to live for the purpose of glorifying God. Philippians 1:21 must be borne in mind always. To live is Christ and to die is gain. We must remember that we have been redeemed from the hands of the enemy and we should not revert back to previous position of seeking our own will instead of that of Christ's. Philippians 2:21.
Prayer: Lord may we always live to glorify you and die to self and live for righteousness. Let there be no internal strife of anger, bitterness and unforgiveness or even resentment in my hearts. Give me the courage to resolve all conflicts that my spirit be liberated always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
