Today’s Inspiration: “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.” Hebrews 11:17-19.
Faith is always tested, trialed and travailed. It is unimaginable that a father could ever give his only son to God, without fathoming the unimaginable love God has in giving His only begotten son Jesus Christ for our salvation. Without the Blood, the Cross and Resurrection, there is no gospel of good news to preach. There is Power in the Seed of Abraham. Isaac was thinking where is the sacrifice, but Abraham knows God will provide, for He is Jehovah Jireh. Genesis 22:14. Faith is like a seed which has to be sown before fruitfulness, likewise our heart has to be given before salvation through repentance. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:7-9 Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, teach me to sow and be a harvester of your kingdom. All that I have is yours and I believe I am just the steward of your provisions on earth. May the faith of Abraham be preached to all my descendants that they may know and follow your everlasting love and way through Jesus Christ, the Seed of Abraham. Give me a new measure of faith, that I may please you in all the seeding in my life and may all my seeds bears good fruit, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
