Today's Inspiration: I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13. The voice of Unbelief sometimes is louder than the voice of belief.
Unbelief said it is impossible to overcome the habit and maintain the promise of obedience to the voice within. How many times have we encountered such situation? All our prayers seem to be of no avail. It was as of faith could not lay hold of the blessing until the soul finally consent to regard this little thing as the test of its obedience to surrender fully to His will. God assured that the soul should receive and possess what it sought. Obedience is still the essential ingredient of the new covenant.
In fact, obedience is a joy and delight. Mark 5:38 Jesus says only believe. Mark 9:23 If you can believe all things are possible to him that believes. God sends miracles to us to give us joy that is unspeakable and full of glory. This shows the greatness of our God who chose us to work in us and through us. The old covenant demanded obedience with an unrelenting must and the consequences that followed it whereas the new covenant of grace changes the must to can and may. Why we lack joyful obedience is because our hearts are blind. Luke 24:16. The Lord was with the disciples but their minds were blinded.
The great blessings of the new covenant is still obedience. All is required of us is to kick out the old habit and to glorify the Father in our new attitude and our works and the Father glorifying His children as they change from glory to glory in the likeness of His Son. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Prayer: Father we come to you in spirit and in truth to plead with you to answer our petition to transform our image to the likeness of Your Son whom You loved that we might bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
