Today's Inspiration: We are not to love with words or with tongue but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18. We know we have passed out of death into life because we love our brethren. He who does not love abides in death for everyone who hates his brethren is a murderer and no murderer has eternal love abiding in him. V14-15.
God is love. He expects us to carry the banner of love with us as a reminder to love one another which is the second greatest commandment in the Bible. Once we are born again we are to put on His Divine attributes of the fruit of the spirit and mirror the glory of the Lord. The goal of the Gospel is to be transformed into His image from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18. The veil which is our old sinful nature has passed away and we become new.
Whatever afflictions we suffer is only temporary and is producing for us an eternal weight of glory which is beyond our comprehension. 2 Corinthians 3:17. So let us have faith to press into the presence of God to break through all barriers to enforce victory of the cross. Only our faith can remove all afflictions whatever the nature maybe. So look for what is eternal and not what is before your eyes and you will see miraculous intervention in your life. God be praised.
Prayer: Dear Lord help us to reflect your glory in our life as we live for truth from day to day towards a glorious eternal future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
