Today’s Inspiration: “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance.” 1 Timothy 4:8-9. We need to train our children to stand up strong for the gospel of Jesus Christ. What has light have to do with darkness, and have the Church become more like the World?
Strangely we are living daily in a more connected world digitally but a seemingly less relational emotionally and physically. How to avoid sexual contents, violence, drugs and immorality for our children where they are easily connected or exposed to the sources or vices accessible to them? Our children can only walk a life of success, integrity, and truth if we walk a life of Godliness. A true Christian don’t expect others to change but oneself to change deliberately and contemplatively in the image of Christ, to stand firm on God’s Word. Only the Word can change the World. The scriptures taught us, “The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.” Deuteronomy 28:9-10.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let thy Word be a delight to my soul daily for who can be blameless or beyond reproach without obeying the commandments of God. Remove all my sins and cloth me with your righteousness for your name sake. Let me walk and train in your Word, led by your Holy Spirit towards godliness, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
