Today’s Inspiration: “I will exalt you, Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.” Psalm 30:1-3. Our Lord is not just with us in peace but in the war, not just in health but in sickness, and not just in abundance but in lack.

He was in the prison with Joseph and the lions den with Daniel. He shall lay a table in the presence of our enemies. Psalm 23:5. Jesus didn’t look to those who are rich and healthy like the world does but has the compassion for the sick and poor. On the contrary, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Matt 9:12-13. Even Prophet Isaiah said helping the poor brings healing quickly to our soul. Let’s not look to our needs but others who requires help. What God heals us, He uses us for others. Time of refreshing and healing shall come always in the presence of Jesus in forgiveness.
Prayer: O Lord my God, thank you for the life of Jesus who taught me to extend mercy, not just sacrifices and to look reach out for the sick and poor in spirit for they shall be healed and blessed. Let me be like Christ more each day, that I may preach the gospel of salvation to the lost, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
