Today’s Inspiration: “Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.” Galatians 4:6-7 NIV Our salvation is not just about going to heaven and repentance of sins but truly and deeply about Sonship. From the gospel, I have learnt that in order to be a godly man, I have to be a godly son; to be a godly husband, I have to be a godly man, and to be a godly father, I have to be a godly husband. Christianity is not founded as a religion but the Spirit of Sonship through Christ, the saviour and salvation of our souls.
What is lacking today in the body of Christ is godly Fathers. We see more single mothers than single fathers in Churches. Most dysfunctional homes and families have missing fathers. Apostle Paul spoke this truth,” Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 4:15 NIV But praise be to God, in the end of times He will reveal His heart, the Father’s heart. He is a father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. Psalms 68:5-6 God is raising up many godly fathers like Paul in the end of times to Timothy. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, raise up Joshua and Caleb who are godly desert fathers who brought the descendants of the Israelites into the promised land of God. Arise the Paul, Peter and Barnabas, who were spiritual fathers to spiritual sons and daughters. May your Spirit be poured upon the fathers in our Nation, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
