22 July 2021 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed and miracles that cannot be counted. Job 9:10. He does whatever He pleases. To God belongs wisdom and power, counsel and understanding are his. Job 12:13. When God's favor is upon you, the enemies will bless you instead of cursing you. It's all in the Sovereignty of God. Balaam was paid to curse Israel. But God intervened and got him to bless Israel instead. He had to do whatever the Lord directs. Numbers 23:26.

Though many a time we are oppressed by an invisible demonic force of fear that will torment and harass us till we give in, we should persevere to resist this enemy till they quit. They can only quit when His word is applied. Isaac's persistence in pursuing his mission caused him to be powerful and prosperous. Even if all the wells he dug were confiscated by the enemy, he knew that God's Divine time and place will cause him to succeed so he never quit nor speculate what is to come but keep on trusting the Lord for His provision. He finally succeeded at Rehoboam when the well he dug was not confiscated. Immediately he declared he and his men will flourish in that land. Genesis 26:22.

What is God speaking to us today? When you don't waver in your faith but persevered with all your might, you will eventually achieve success. That night itself God encouraged him not to be afraid for he will be blessed and increased in number. V23.

When we give in to oppression of fear we deprive ourselves of the freedom of Christ and His blessings of joy that He brings to us. When oppression of fear wears you down, it will entice you to give in. To overcome oppression stand against the devil's work by declaring the Blood of Jesus against the devil resisting him and waiting upon God to appropriate the right word for our Deliverance. Our thoughts must be renewed without which our negative emotions within us are unconquerable especially fear, mental anguish and angry reactions. God be praised.

Prayer: Lord lead me not to temptation but deliver me from all evil and guide me to Your righteous path. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
