22 February 2021 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: If our hearts are hard and filled with Rock of bitterness and unforgiveness, we cannot grow to a spiritual height required from us. His word needs to be hidden in our hearts so that we might not sin against Him. Psalm 119:11. Likewise our ground must be prepared to receive the tree. It takes less work to grow where we are and endure whatever trials we have to go through. Jeremiah 2:13 is clear. It takes less time to grow and bear fruit where you have been planted.

A recipe for growth begins with forgiveness and prayer. It takes hard work to break up the soil and we must be willing to do hard work. Faith without works is dead. Hard work brings forth a reward.

The ground must be watered. Dry ground cannot sustain life and unless we flow in the spirit we cannot sustain spiritual life. Jeremiah 2:13 says God of Israel is the spring of living water. In John 7:38 declare whoever believes in Him, out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living. John 7:38. We must be watered in the word so that the ground of hearts does not dry out. Let not pride be a stumbling block that puffs up our heart. We all were made from dirt. A garden worth having is a garden worth weeding so we must work on our hearts to keep them free from evil thoughts and evil inclinations. Demolish all arguments and every pretension that sets itself against the knowledge of God and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5.

Prayer: Lord, grant me the grace to humble ourselves before God to receive the Good news that our Messiah Yeshua can fill the land. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
