Today’s Inspiration: “For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. O Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep.” Psalms 92:4-5 NKJV. Praises and Thanksgiving are not separated from Prayer but an integral process and heart journey to enter the temple of God as priest to build the altar. The psalmist declared,” It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night. Psalms 92:1-2. Prayer is not just about words but also about actions of faithfulness to put God first in all areas of our lives.
Everyday the world faces different challenges and emotional distress especially in extremely uncertain times like this. Matthew 24:6. I precedented Inflation, heatwave, pandemic, pending recession, new viruses, wars, social unrests, scams, suicides, sexual immortality and violence. It can be closer like issues with your work, house, family and ministry. But don’t lose focus on Christ. Most often when our prayer life is not burning, our situation is. When God and the House of God is not our priority, our altar is broken and forsaken like at Mount Carmel. 1 Kings 18:30 That’s when the enemy has legal access to build the altar of baal and raise the asheroth poles. But when Elijah told the people of Israel, draw closer to God and rebuild the broken altar, Jezebel and all the 450 false prophets began to be restless, tremble and all adversaries of God were totally destroyed by his sword. “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalms 92:13-15.
Prayer: O Lord my God, your words are too powerful for me to comprehend over my challenges and your presence is too beautiful for me to depart from your love and faithfulness. Let all the days of my life be desiring to dwell in the house of God in prayer, praises, and worship. Teach me how to build the altar to pray, serve, give and walk like you Lord, that many shall be saved through your gospel, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
