20 April 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo
Today’s Inspiration: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 NIV. The very evidence of revival and the baptism of Holy Spirit is more than just speaking in tongues, and having large crowds during the Pentecost. It’s the supernatural, drastic and miraculous change to one’s attitude, behaviour and character to give themselves selflessly to the Word of God, Communion, Prayer and giving themselves to one another’s needs.

Today the Good News of the gospel is about fulfilling our own needs and that could dangerously shipwreck our faith through false teachers and teachings. Jesus first sermon was about Repentance and the Kingdom of God. Matthew 4:17. Paul told Timothy to be devoted to God’s Word and His personal life to be like Christ in prayer. Only repentance can bear the fruit of the Spirit and we see deep healing taking place in one’s spirit, soul, and body for regeneration. Matthew 3:8. When Jesus spoke about abundant life in John 10:10, He is not referring to an affluent life but a Holy life so that we can be citizens of heaven abiding in His Word of eternal living and life. Where the Holy Spirit is there is liberty from sin, heaviness and darkness. 2 Corinthians 3:17. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let your Word bring conviction, corrections and comfort to my heart for I am a sinner saved by your grace through faith in your Name. Let my prayer be in line, in tune, and in accordance to your word, will and purpose. Give me clean hands and pure heart to serve you. Fill me with your Holy Spirit once again, that your will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
