2 February 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” I John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ Before God can do great things in your life, He must do great things in you. Before David faces Goliath, the Lord made him face enemies bigger than himself like the lion and the bear. Before Moses opens the Red Sea, he must face his own fears at the burning bush. Before Christ faces all the demonic legions and sicknesses, He must overcome satan in the wilderness. Before we can learn how to walk in the Spirit, we have to first crucify our flesh at the Cross of Calvary before the Resurrection can take place. None one can say he or she has faith unless their faith is tested.

If we look carefully at individual man and woman of God in the Bible, they had suffered rejections, traumas, and even persecutions. Yet they didn’t make their plight bigger than God, rather their faith grew bigger than their fears because there is a Messiah who works powerfully in them and through them. The key is to yield to the Holy Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to work divinely inside of you. Remember satan loves to work with our fears but God works powerfully with our faith for His glory. A generous man will not have the fear of lack. It is exactly the faith to sow that breaks the yoke of lack. The man who gives is more blessed than the man who receives. Acts 20:35. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. II Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, may you be greater and I be lesser within me. For it’s no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives inside of me. You are the love within me, and it’s your perfect love that will cast out all fears within me. I believe your words that have spoken over me shall come to fulfilment for the things that I see you do, greater things shall be done in my life because of your Holy Spirit who lives in me, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
